The fireplace is usually the focal point of the room.  With so many options, the ventless propane fireplace is perhaps the easiest way to incorporate the feeling of a fireplace without going overboard on costs or restructuring a room.  The Monesson DIS33PVG Vent Free Fireplace Insert is one such product that provides the convenience of a fire without all of the hassel of a wood-burning fireplace.  Yet, it still provides many of the same features of a regular fireplace but without the additional smoke.


The framing dimensions for the Monesson DIS33PVG Vent Free Fireplace Insert is 33 1/2 inches long and 27 1/2 inches tall.  It has a depth of 18 inches.  It boasts of a triple play burner feature.  This provides for the realistic depth of a yellow fire and comes complete with six charred timber logs. It has a thermostatically controlled blower which blows about 135 cubic feet per minute.  The product also comes with a remote ready valve, a removable unitized bottom louvers, and an 18 inch flex line that contains a shut on/off valve.  A fixed safety screen is included for additional protection from the flames.

The Monesson DIS33PVG Vent Free Fireplace Insert is capable of producing up to 28,000 British thermal units of heat.  Which heats up an approximate area of 950 square feet.  No heat is lost due to the fact that the unit does not require venting.  It is a CSA certified product.  The viewing area is 27 inches in width and 14 1/2 inches in height.  The controls are accessed from the lower louver that conceals them when they are not needed.  Optional accessories are the brass louvers, face plate, and trim.  It does come in the standard black color.

The approximate cost for the Monessen DIS33PVG Vent Free Fireplace Insert is $1300, without the shipping costs.  This ventless propane fireplace is propane powered. However, the propane is not included in the price.  The remote for the valve is not included.  The optional brass louvers are approximately $50 in addition.  Fire cinders can also be purchased separately for about $40.  The additional trim kits range from about $130 to $200 in price.
