Of the aforementioned most common screens or spark guards for your fireplace you can find an array of designs and finishings. There is copper, wrought iron, graphite bronze and hammered bronze, literally just to name a few. The designs can vary to the more minimal like twisted rope entwining the screens together, they can be ornate like a Victorian design and then they can be a screen that acts more as an artistic piece of work with a solid piece where you can not see the fireplace behind it. Although the look of stained glass against a fireplace does give a unique viewing experience while still feeling the heat.
